  • Whitney Young outlasts West Aurora

    Next up, a late January battle at Glenbard East's "When Sides Collide Shootout" in Lombard. Closing out a full day of boys hoops action, was a close contest between the Dolphins of Whitney Young and the Blackhawks of West Aurora.
  • St. Rita halts Hales

    A Catholic League South clash was ready to roll in late January at Hales Franciscan's "intimate" gym on the Southside. When it was all over, the visiting Mustangs of St. Rita headed home with a win over the host Spartans.
  • Willowbrook charges past Morton

    The Willowbrook Warriors had their first winning season since the 2007-2008 campaign as Sophomore sensation Alonzo Verge surged onto the scene in Villa Park. This early February game against conference rival Morton had the gym rocking.
  • H-F wins 4A Super

    Now we switch to girls hoops and a 4A Super Sectional at Mother McAuley. A packed house turned up to watch the Vikings of Homewood-Flossmoor, led by Duke-bound Faith Suggs, defeat the Trinity Blazers in Overtime.
  • Stevenson beats Lake Forest

    Our final look back at this past basketball season takes us to a mid-January showdown in the North Surburban Lake. A standing room only crowd came out to Lake Forest High School as the Scouts hosted the Stevenson Patriots. Despite another great effort from Senior Evan Boudreaux, the Scouts couldn't stop the eventual 4A State Champion Patriots from recording another victory.
